Indonesia as Heaven for Diving

Indonesia is an archipelago country in which more than 70% of its area is water. Thus, with that large area of water Indonesia has so many beautiful beaches. However, mostly, people all over the world only know about Bali or the island of god. In fact, there are also many people that do not know if Bali is one of Indonesia province. They thought Bali is not the part of Indonesia. People do not know that there are many places other than Bali which also have beautiful scenery and beaches, but, they are still hidden. Hidden in here means that the promotion of the place might not as good as promotion for Bali yet. Indonesia has derawan, wakatobi, and raja ampat that can be called as heaven for diving.

There is also another place for diving that is so beautiful till one of the famous Asian magazine for diving call it “Indonesia’s best kept secret for diving”. That place is Gorontalo. Gorontalo is small province in Indonesia. Diving typical in Gorontalo is wall diving with good water visibility, moreover, in the diving location, there is sponge wall which is called “Salvador Dali” because the sponge is similar with “Salvador Dali’s” painting. However, since Gorontalo is a small province, it may not as crowded as another province; thus, it is also good for those who are looking for quiet place. To reach Gorontalo also easy since there is an airline that open route there, so if you want to go there you can take plane from Jakarta.

So, the beautiful tourism destination in Indonesia is not only Bali. There are many locations that you can visit though, perhaps, some locations are not easy to reach. But, your effort to reach the place will be paid with the beauty of the place. Thus, diving in derawan, wakatobi, raja ampat, and Gorontalo should come first on your travel for diving list since it is the natural beauty that other countries may not have. Furthermore, if the government can promote those places successfully, sure Indonesia will be more famous than before and people all over the world will know that Indonesia is the heaven for diving.
